There are two possible reasons for this happening.

  1. The module is set to take a timed test. To change this use the Advanced Dashboard. When you Configure Parameters make sure Timed test is not checked.
  2. Although unlikely, the battery could have run out in the middle of a test. Just leave the module plugged in for a couple of minutes. That should give it enough charge to make it through most classroom tests.

You must Load the Custom Axes in order for them to show up. If you click on the Math drop down menu at the top of the screen and then click on Custom Axes you will see that you can load the two preset custom axes or create your own. See the SINC User Guide for instructions on how to write equations. Understand that the preset axes will display zeros until you define the variable called mass using the same drop down menu.

This happens when the acceleration is not properly normalized (it is not zero when it should be). Adjust your Acceleration Baseline to a time period where it should be zero. Make sure Apply Acceleration Normalization is checked.

If you right click on the name of the data set you will get a pop-up window that will allow you to change the name of the data set. Make it a short name and then you will see the three lines that you need to click on to remove that data set.

After finding the slope or area you can eliminate the graphic (the line and the value) by “moving” the graph. Just click and hold anywhere on the graph and move the mouse.

To fix this issue turn on the camera app on the phone. Select video. With the remote turned on, press the Android button. Then press the IOS button. The video should be recording. Press the IOS button again to stop the recording. If the module is in range then it will record a test during this time so be sure to erase it.

You must first copy the video file onto your computer. Then pull the video from the computer into the graph.

This is most easily done by connecting the phone to the computer using a usb cable. Then open Windows Explorer. Navigate to the phone and find the video on the phone. Then either drag and drop the video file into the folder of your choice on the computer, or copy and paste into the folder of your choice. Alternatively, you could use a software package (there are many free ones available) to copy the file onto the computer via bluetooth or wifi.

You can fine tune the synchronization of the video and data using the line up trials button. Find a point in the video where the motion is distinct (an abrupt change like hitting a bumper is best). Take note of the position of the scrubber (the vertical blue line). Move the scrubber and then line up the appropriate point in the data with the position of the scrubber.
