In this lab, the students will send a cart down a ramp. When the cart leaves the ramp it will be
moving horizontally. The students will calculate the range of the projectile using kinematics
equations.
This is the Lab 11 Tier 3 Challenge Set-Up A. This set-up presents an “error” in conducting the trial which affects the student’s result. The challenge is for the student to determine what Danny did wrong in conducting his trial and determining how the error impacted the results.
